The Mary & Joseph Retreat Center’s mission is to provide an environment of serenity, prayer, and natural beauty. Through our Sponsored Programs and hospitality, the retreat center creates opportunities for the personal and spiritual growth of each person who comes to these sacred grounds. Give Up Worrying in the New Year    Gary Zimak

Are you tired of worrying? In this retreat, you will learn simple and practical techniques for letting Jesus free you from your anxiety. Using Scripture, prayer and practical advice, Gary will help you to find the peace you desire! We are called during the 40 days of Lent to pray, fast and give alms. There are many social media pages & apps that can help you and members of your parish pray, fast and give alms right from the palm of the hand that holds your smartphone. Resources will be shared to assist you design a social media plan to help you practice digital discipleship this Lent! *Bring a laptop and we’ll provide a blank calendar for you to design your Lenten social media plan. Cost: $20 ($25 after 2/15)

Celebrate your love this Valentine’s Day with a dinner by candlelight, the sharing of Eucharist, and a very special renewal of your marriage vows. Remember: Bring a picture of your wedding. Grieving Gracefully: When Less is Not More

Willow List, MA, Psych
Series of 4 Support Group Meetings on Wednesdays;
February 6, 13, 20 & 27, 2019  4pm to 6pm


Coping with the death of a loved one can be a daunting emotional journey. Beyond the sadness, feelings of fear, anger, guilt, regret and despair often arise creating a sense of confusion and uncertainty for the bereaved, as well as for those around them. These challenging emotions however, can be a source for spiritual awakening and offer valuable insights to become skills to navigate the process of grief in an emotionally healthy manner. In this four-week series facilitated by Willow List, Certified grief, loss & life transitions counselor and clinical trauma professional, participants will share and gain mutual support of their loss experience, as well as learn tools for self-care and transforming treasured memories into opportunities for a meaningful new pathway to move forward. Participants are encouraged to bring a photo of their loved one to the first meeting. Cost: $60 for the series of 4 meetings

A New Ongoing Monthly Group:

Gratefulness Gatherings with Christine Sanchirico
One Thursday of each month in 2019 ~ 7-8:30 PM
First Meeting is on Thursday, January 24, 2019!
Experience, deepen, and share the power of living gratefully. Gratefulness Gatherings are an opportunity to cultivate a space where we can explore grateful living as an orientation to life. These Gatherings take place at the local level, in person, hosted by community members. Learn more at Gratefulness.org ~ a Network for Grateful Living is a global organization offering community-based and online educational programs and practices which inspire and guide a commitment to grateful living, and catalyze the transformative power of personal and societal responsibility.
Our Gratefulness Gatherings will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month in 2019 (except July, November and December when they will be on the third Thursday). Gatherings will be held in Annex 4 Meeting Room
